What is 'fine webcraft for communities?" Efficient and effective web-building advice to help you and your community to participate in the global village. Learn to build functional websites, then share that knowledge with others. Participate in a community of continuous learning and development. Help to establish criteria for community sites that provide equity and empowerment. Contribute to the evolution of a standard for community-based websites and portals. Discover what defines your community, and then establish a web presence that reflects all that it has to offer. If your community is a small town, for example, you could promote tourism, assist local businesses to develop e-commerce sites and provide additional employment options through teleworking. Develop a structure that enables this to be sustained within a community, without a need for ongoing outside assistance. This can all be done through the establishment of Guilds, groups of webcraft masters, websmiths and apprentices with a common interest, who can work together and support each other - a system of structured mentoring. + Introduction + Workshops + Online Training + Obviously I need to do a much prettier site than this if the content's going to be convincing :^) |
